- Find the podcast feed URL for your podcast on the other hosting site
- Turn off any DAI (Dynamic Ad Insertion) included in your feed on the other hosting platform.
- Make sure your feed is "unlocked"
Next, visit our "Switch to RSS" page. You will need to submit the podcast feed URL from the other hosting platform and add the email address you would like to associate with your podcast (If you already have an RSS.com account, provide the email you use to log in).
You will be contacted via email by our import specialist to help with the next steps.

- Add a valid form of payment to your RSS.com account
- Choose the name for your podcast feed URL (we will set it up for you).
- Pick a subscription plan (we will set it up for you)
IMPORTANT: DO NOT CREATE the podcast on your account. We will create the podcast for you when importing. If you create the podcast before we import your episodes we will have to delete it and use a different podcast title to import your show.

Overview of the Import Process
Switching your podcast to RSS.com is easy. It only takes between 24 and 48 hours, and involves 4 simple steps we will guide you through:
- Step 1: Create an RSS.com account
- Step 2: Verify ownership of your podcast
- Step 3: Confirm your new podcast URL
- Step 4: Finalize the import and set up a 301 redirect
Below is a detailed breakdown of each step.
Step 1: Create Your RSS.com Account
Once you submit a request to transfer your podcast, you need to set up your account:
- Sign up at RSS.com using the same email address you used for the import request.
- Add a credit card to your account (no charges will be made at this stage).
- Do not create a new podcast or subscribe to a plan yet.
- Keep your current hosting active until the process is fully completed.
Once you complete this step, you will receive an email to proceed to Step 2: Verifying Your Podcast Ownership.
Step 2: Verify Your Podcast Ownership
You will receive an email to confirm that you own the podcast you’re transferring, follow these steps:
Add RSSVERIFY to the end of your current podcast show description on your existing hosting platform.
Once you've done it, then reply to the email confirming that:
✅ You’ve created an RSS.com account using your email.
✅ You’ve added RSSVERIFY to your show description.
Once we verify ownership, we will move to Step 3: Confirming Your Show URL.
Step 3: Confirm Your Show URL
Now that we’ve verified your ownership, you need to confirm your new RSS.com podcast URL.
We will suggest a default URL based on your podcast name (e.g., rss.com/podcast/[your-show-name]).
✅ You can approve this URL or request a different one. However, once confirmed, the URL cannot be changed.
Reply to our email confirming the URL selection.
After you confirm your URL, we’ll begin importing your podcast episodes.
Step 4: Finalize the Import & Redirect Your Old Feed
Once the import is complete, you will receive an email confirming your new RSS feed URL and your public podcast page (e.g., https://rss.com/podcast/[your-show-name]).
✅ Finally, wrap it up by setting up a 301 redirect from your old RSS feed to your new RSS.com feed.
This ensures all platforms (Spotify, Apple Podcasts, etc.) and subscribers automatically follow your new feed.
Check our 301 Redirect Guide for detailed instructions based on your previous host.
It is important to keep your old hosting active until the 301 redirect is in place and fully propagated.
? And that's it, welcome to RSS.com and enjoy your 6-month free plan! No charges will apply unless you choose to continue after the promotion period.
FAQs
❓ What happens if I don’t set up a 301 redirect?
If you don’t set up a redirect, your subscribers will continue receiving episodes from your old hosting provider, not RSS.com. This may lead to losing subscribers when your old host account is deactivated.
❓ How long does the import process take?
Typically, the process takes a few hours to 1-2 days, depending on your previous hosting provider’s verification process.
❓ Will my podcast remain live during the transition?
Yes! Your existing RSS feed remains active until you finalize the migration and set up the 301 redirect.
❓ What if I have DAI activated or prefixes in my previous host?
Disable Dynamic Ad Insertion (DAI) and prefixes (e.g., Chartable, Podtrac) on your old host to avoid playback issues.
❓ What if I encounter issues during the process?
If you have any questions or experience issues, contact our support team or check our Help Center.
