How do I set up my first podcast?

After creating your RSS.com account and validating your username you will be redirected to the creation page of your podcast:

1. Click on "New Podcast"

2. Set up your new podcast by adding the following information: 

• Title: The title of your podcast
• Description: The description of your podcast
• Language of the podcast
• Explicit option
• Public website and RSS feed address: this will be the URL you will use to access your podcast. For example https://podcast.rss.com/my-awesome-new-podcast (check the URL requirements)
• Cover art image: This image will be visible to all Apple podcast and Spotify users, as well as other podcast directories. (check the Cover art formatting requirements)

When you have filled all the requirements, the "Next" button will be activated and you will be able to move on to the next section.

3. Setup the author details.

Note: The Copyright section is "who will be the owner" of the podcast, usually, the users put their own name there. Unfortunately, we can not provide more advice on this matter. We encourage you to research  "fair use" and copyright licensing and/or contact a competent legal professional to help you if you have more questions about this.

When you have filled all the requirements, the "Next" button will be activated and you will be able to move on to the next section.

4. Setup the Categories of your podcast (Up to 3 categories). Select your primary Category.

Important: Apple podcast will only index your show under the primary category.

When you have filled all the requirements, the "Let's go!" button will be activated, when you click there your podcast will be created.

5. Your podcast is almost ready!

6. Upload your first episode.

7. Get your podcast RSS Feed URL.
