How PAID payouts work

Modified on Wed, 30 Sep at 10:09 AM

We send your Available Balance to your PayPal account automatically on the 1st of each month, as long as it is over $1. Money reaches PayPal between 60 and 90 days after the ad played.

From ad to payout

WhenWhat happens
The day the ad playsAn ad is dynamically inserted and played in one of your episodes.
About 3 days laterThe revenue appears in your Estimated Balance, which updates once a day.
After 60 daysAfter checks for invalid traffic and final reporting from our ad partners, the revenue is added to your Available Balance.
The next 1st of the monthWe send your Available Balance to your PayPal account. You don’t need to request it.

The 60 days count separately for each day of earnings, so your Available Balance grows a little every day, not once a month. Your Estimated Balance shows everything you have earned and not been paid yet, your Available Balance included.

Example

An ad that plays on July 10 appears in your Estimated Balance around July 13, is added to your Available Balance on September 9 and is paid on October 1.

Each payout covers about a month of ads:

PayoutCovers ads played
October 1July 3 to August 1
November 1August 2 to September 1
December 1September 2 to October 1

If you activated PAID partway through a month, your first payout covers only part of that month, so it is usually smaller than the ones after it.

December and January

A second payout late in December sends every Available Balance, even under $1, so you get your earnings before the end of the year. There is no payout on January 1. The next one is on February 1.

Note for networks: If you run several shows and need an aggregate report covering all of them in one view, please reach out to support@rss.com to see if we can accommodate.
