When you monetize your podcast using RSS.com’s Programmatic Ads Inserted Dynamically (PAID) system, you earn a share of the advertising revenue generated by your episodes.
Typically, podcasters earn 70% of the revenue, while 30% goes to RSS.com to cover the costs of managing the ad system, technology, and partnerships. While 70/30 is the standard, the exact split may vary depending on the advertiser or ad network involved.
Behind the scenes, we work with many advertisers and ad service providers. Some of these partnerships have different revenue splits. In some cases, there may be two or more companies involved (such as an ad network or exchange), each with its own revenue agreement. This can affect the final split.
That's why in certain cases, you may even benefit from more favorable splits, depending on the contracts and partnerships we’ve secured for you.
Video episodes
Video episodes on the Max plan follow the same 70/30 split, and they carry ads from the first episode you publish, with no download threshold to reach first.
Your share starts once you have activated PAID and added a payout method, so it is worth doing early. Activate PAID and connect PayPal takes a couple of minutes. Ads run on your video before that is in place, and revenue from those ads is not backdated.
We always aim to negotiate the best deals possible to maximize your earnings to help you earn more from your podcast, easily and transparently.
