Understanding City-Level Data

Modified on Wed, 4 Sep at 12:36 AM

When analyzing your podcast’s performance, understanding where your audience is located can provide valuable insights. In RSS.com Analytics, you’ll find both city-level and country-level data to help you get a clearer picture of your listener distribution.

City-Level Data

The city-level download data only includes the downloads where the city can be identified through the information provided by the Internet Service Provider (ISP). Due to restrictions from some ISPs, city details might not always be available. Therefore, this list does not represent all downloads but rather a subset where city-level data is accessible.

Country-Level Data

In contrast, the country-level chart includes all downloads, giving you a complete view of your audience’s distribution by country. Unlike city-level data, country data is always available, ensuring a comprehensive overview of your podcast’s reach.

Due to these limitations, you might notice more downloads at the country level compared to the aggregated city data. This is because some downloads may not have identifiable city information and are therefore only included in the country-level statistics.
