TABLE OF CONTENTS
The embedded player is a product that can be added to third party websites as a "window" to reproduce a show hosted at RSS.com.
To add the podcast episode player into a website, simply copy and paste the embed code into an HTML block where you'd like the player to appear. This code can be found right in your dashboard or in your public page.
Embedding a show from your public page
Go to your public page and click on Share.
Select Embedded.
Choose between Latest Episode and Show.
The Latest Episode will be selected by default. The embedded player will feature a smart link, dynamically showcasing the most recent episode from the show.
By selecting Show, the embedded player displays the latest episode and a playlist with the most recent episodes of your show.
Embedding a show from an episode
Similarly, to share an episode, go to the episode page and click on Share.
Again, you'll be prompted to click on Embedded.
But this time, the 'Episode' option will be automatically selected by default. This means that the embedded player will feature the episode from where it is selected. If you shared the 41st episode, the embedded player will be set to always play the 41st episode, not the lastest as we've seen above.
Selecting 'Show', however, mirrors the behavior described above for the show public page, showcasing the most recent episode.
Sharing from your dashboard
You can also share an episode from the dashboard the same way we did it in your public page above. It works exactly the same.
To share the entire show, click in the share button at the top of the My Podcast.
Similarly, to share an episode, click on the three dots next to the episode and select share.
The same menu as in Public Pages will be available where you will then have access to the following section where you will be able to choose from three different themes, which will give you a preview of how it looks and the link to the embed.
After this, you just have to click on "Copy embed code" and use it.
For even more flexibility and customization, check our advanced guide to tweak the embedded player even further.
