Before uploading your first episode you need to create your podcast. Check out how to set up your first podcast.
Once you've set up your podcast, you are now ready to upload your first podcast episode. To start, log into your RSS.com account, select the tab "My Podcast" click on "New episode."
Now we need to specify the title, description, season and episode number, the cover, keywords… and of course, the audio file! Let’s dive into it.
1. Add your episode title (required).
2. Add your episode description (required).
3. Add Season number and Episode number. Check out the difference between Serial and Episodic to know more about seasons and episodes.
4. Select the episode type. Check out the difference between these options.
5. Check if the episode contains explicit content.
6. Add episode keywords (optional but recommended).
7. Add a cover (optional, but recommended). Make sure to check the cover art formatting requirements or learn how to create a great cover art.
8. Add your audio file (required).
- Max file size: 600 MB
- Recommended format: mp3. You can learn more about which audio file formats does RSS.com support.
- File name with standard chars, for example: "episode1.mp3", "episode2.mp3" etc ...
8. Wait until your audio file is updated, and then click "Save Draft" to continue.
9. When your episode is saved, it will appear in your "Draft Espisodes" section. You will then have an option to either schedule it, or publish it.
You can also go back to editing if you click the three dots on your right side, and in the bottom left side you can add: transcription, chapters and soundbites.
