How do I remove my podcast from a specific directory?

Modified on Wed, 12 Mar at 5:07 AM

Podcasting gives creators full control over when and where their content is available. As podcasters, we decide how our content is accessed, which sometimes means wanting to remove a show from a directory where it was previously distributed.

However, once your podcast has been submitted to a directory, you cannot stop its distribution directly from your RSS.com account.

RSS feeds work by making your content publicly available to any directory or app that chooses to access it. Each directory is responsible for monitoring your feed for updates. When you enable distribution, you’re simply telling the directory where to find your content.

The only way to completely remove a directory’s access to request the removal directly from each directory. Some platforms allow you to remove your podcast through their settings, while others require you to contact their support team.

We have Knowledge Base guides to help with removing your podcast from specific directories, but reaching out to a directory’s customer support is often the most effective approach.
