Publish an episode to YouTube

Modified on Tue, 12 Sep, 2023 at 2:10 PM

Before trying to post your podcast episodes to YouTube, make sure you do the following first:

1. How to connect RSS.com to a YouTube channel

2. Verify your YouTube Account

After connecting your account and granting the appropriate permissions, your new episodes can be published to YouTube by following the instructions below.

Important: Previously released episodes of your podcast will not automatically be published to YouTube. You will need to follow the instructions below to publish both old and new episodes of your podcast to YouTube.

Manually Publish an Episode

To publish individual episodes to YouTube, simply click the video button for the episode you want to publish.

You will be prompted to confirm publication of the episode. After accepting, YouTube publication status will be updated to in "progress" as the episode is being processed.

Once the episode is published to YouTube the video icon will be updated to a green check mark.

[Very Important] Your podcast episodes can only be uploaded to YouTube once. If you delete your episode on YouTube, you won't be able to upload another copy. You will have to completely delete your audio episode on RSS.com and reupload/republish it for the YouTube option to become available. If you want to delete your video on YouTube to change the episode order or do a simple edit, your YouTube account has editing and organization features that may fix the problem without having to delete the video.
