Before publishing an episode to YouTube, you will need to connect your RSS.com account to your YouTube channel with your Google account.
Activation
Select the Distribution tab on your podcast account page.
Scroll to the bottom of the page and find the "PUBLISH TO YouTube" settings. Click the "Activate" button.
Select which YouTube account you'd like to connect to by signing into it's associated Google account. Click "Sign in with Google." Select the correct account, and follow the prompts to give the appropriate permissions.
Your account is now connected, but you aren't done just yet! On the next page, you have the option of selecting an existing playlist on your YouTube account for your episodes. You can access your YouTube account and create a playlist beforehand, or come back later and adjust this setting after you've created a playlist.
You will also be asked to select the "Visibility" and "Audience" for your podcast
If you follow these steps correctly, a green indicator light should appear, and you'll be able to publish an episode to YouTube.
Troubleshooting: To ensure the feature works, make sure that:
- You have created a YouTube channel
- Your channel is verified to upload videos longer than 15 minutes
- You have selected the right channel (if you have more than one)
Once validation is complete, the video button next to each episode will be updated to it's default setting (indicated by a purple dot with a plus icon).
If you don't have a connected account, a pop-up will be displayed prompting you to go to the distribution tab and set up YouTube publication as shown in this article.
