Pandora submissions go through Simplecast Creator Connect. The old Pandora for Podcasters portal has been retired. Creator Connect is free, and you do not need to move your podcast off RSS.com to use it.
One submission covers both Pandora and SiriusXM. You cannot pick one and skip the other.
First, show your email address
Simplecast confirms you own the show by emailing the address in your RSS feed. RSS.com hides that address by default, so turn it on before you submit. See how to enable the email address in the RSS feed.
Important: the address stays visible for 12 hours and then hides itself. Watch for the verification email and answer it inside that window. If the 12 hours run out before the email arrives, turn the address back on and ask Simplecast to send it again.
Submit your show
- Open the Distribution tab of your podcast, go to Other Directories (Guided Submission) and expand Pandora. Click Copy your RSS feed.
- Go to simplecast.com/pandora and click Get Started. Create a free Simplecast account, or sign in if you already have one.
- Use the add show flow and paste your RSS feed.
- Accept the Simplecast terms.
- Open the verification email sent to the address in your feed and confirm the show is yours. Nothing is added to Pandora until that email is answered.
Run the add show flow once per podcast if you have several. Your feed needs to be a valid podcast RSS feed, and if your show is already accepted on Apple Podcasts then it meets the requirements.
If your show was already on Pandora
Shows added through the old portal still need a Creator Connect account, because the terms of service changed. Create the free account and claim the show there. Until you do, Pandora has no current agreement covering it.
Add your Pandora link back to RSS.com
Once your show is live on Pandora, copy its public URL and paste it into the Pandora field in Other Directories (Guided Submission), then click Save changes. This adds a Pandora button to your public podcast page on RSS.com. See how to find your Pandora URL.
Note: this step is only about the button on your RSS.com page and the status shown in your Distribution tab. Your episodes reach Pandora through your RSS feed, so they keep arriving whether or not you paste the link. If you skip it, your Distribution tab will keep showing the show as not submitted.
