The email address to verify my podcast is wrong. How can I update it?

Modified on Sat, 22 Aug at 1:22 AM

Platforms verify that you own a podcast by emailing the address published in its RSS feed. If the address in your feed is wrong or out of date, the verification email goes somewhere you cannot read, and the claim fails.

Change the email in your feed

  1. Click the edit button on the podcast you want to change.

  1. Open Author details.

  1. Update the email address, then click Save.

Use an address you can actually open, and one that matches the account you are claiming with on Spotify, Apple Podcasts or YouTube Music.

Then wait for the feed to refresh

Your public RSS feed picks up the change within a couple of hours. Platforms read the feed on their own schedule after that, so a claim you retry immediately may still see the old address.

Important: if it has been more than four hours, your feed shows the new address, and the platform still sends verification to the old one, that is on their side. Contact Spotify support for a Spotify claim, or Apple Podcasts Connect for an Apple one, with your podcast name and both feed URLs.
