Power-Ups are extra features in RSS.com that give you additional tools to enhance your podcast. They include Podcasting 2.0 functionalities and other powerful upgrades that improve discoverability, engagement, and customization.
Enabling Power-Ups allows you to take your podcast to the next level by unlocking new capabilities tailored for more control and flexibility.
Available Power-Ups
At launch, Power-Ups include the following features:
Location (Podcasting 2.0): this tag describes the geographical focus of your podcast, making it easier for listeners to find region-specific content.
Soundbites (Podcasting 2.0): create short audio snippets from your episodes. These clips are perfect for sharing on social media or promoting key moments.
TXT (Podcasting 2.0): a flexible text storage tag that can be used for verification, authentication, or other advanced metadata needs.
Live Item (Podcasting 2.0): enables real-time broadcasting of your podcast episodes, allowing listeners to tune in live as you record.
Publish in the Past: Lets you publish episodes with a past date.
How to Enable Power-Ups

We’re continuously adding new Power-Ups to help you grow and manage your podcast more effectively.
How to disable Power-Ups
You can disable Power-Ups at any time. This will hide their features from your interface and RSS feed. However, any content they created (like Soundbites or TXT records) will remain (hidden) in your RSS feed and reappear if you enable the Power-Ups again.
To delete this content completely, you must manually remove it from where it was originally created.
