If you've used RSS.com's convenient 1-click auto-submission to Apple Podcasts, your podcast is initially associated with RSS.com’s Apple Podcasts Connect account. To manage and access your podcast directly, you need to claim your show in your own Apple Podcasts Connect account.
Here’s how:
1. Create an Apple ID (if you don't have one).
2. Claim Your Show at Apple Podcasts Connect.
At the bottom of the page, under More Actions, click Claim Existing Show.
Follow the prompts to find your show (through the RSS feed) and generate a token. The token is valid for seven days.
Now, go to RSS.com Distribution section, scroll down to the section to claim your show and paste the token there.
The token will be added to your RSS feed and within 24 hours, Apple Podcasts will verify it matches the one you generated in Apple Podcasts Connect and will automatically move your show to your account.
This process can take up to several days; during this time, your podcast will remain available without interruption.
Why Claim Your Podcast?
- Access detailed analytics directly in Apple Podcasts Connect.
- Customize your podcast’s listing and metadata on Apple Podcasts.
- Directly manage Apple Podcasts-specific features like subscriptions, promotional tools, and insights.
Important Notes
- The 1-click auto-submission by RSS.com is a courtesy service to simplify your podcast distribution. RSS.com is among the select few podcast hosting services globally to offer this.
- Note that until the podcast is finally claimed, it will be temporarily parked on the RSS.com’s Apple Podcasts account. However, during the entire process, you always maintain full ownership and copyright of your content, even during the temporary association with RSS.com’s Apple Podcasts account.
- We at RSS.com will support you fully during this claiming process, ensuring a smooth transition.
