The Podroll element is a Podcasting 2.0 feature that allows you to recommend other podcasts directly on your RSS.com-hosted podcast website. Think of it as a “blogroll” for podcasts, a way to cross-promote shows and introduce your audience to podcasts you love.
One of the most powerful aspects of Podroll is that you can recommend any podcast, whether it’s hosted on RSS.com or another platform. As long as the hosting provider supports the Podroll feature, the recommended show will appear on your podcast page.

How to turn on Podroll?
Go to your Dashboard and click on the Settings tab look for Podroll Recommendations.
Use the search bar to find podcasts you want to recommend. You can add up to 8 shows. Once this limit is reached, the search bar will be disabled, indicating that you've reached the maximum number of recommended shows.
Upon selection, the selected Podrolls will be listed below the page, where you can manage and remove them.
Important: keep in mind that for a podcast to be added to a Podroll it needs a valid GUID. If a podcast is greyed out, it may not have a valid GUID and can’t be added.
Once added, your recommended podcasts will appear under a new Recommendations tab on your public podcast website. You can manage or remove these at any time.
Why use Podroll?
- Grow your audience: Help your listeners discover great shows (and other podcasters may return the favor).
- Cross-promotion: Build connections with other podcasters.
- No platform lock-in: Podroll works across platforms — it’s not restricted to a single app or network.
What happens if you switch hosts?
Not all podcast hosts or directories support Podroll (for example: Spotify or Acast do not). If you move your podcast to a host that doesn’t support this feature, your Podroll will no longer appear.
With RSS.com, Podroll is built-in, you keep control of your recommendations. You can also check out this detailed guide: How to Recommend Other Podcasts Using Podroll
