Your RSS feed is already optimized to support your podcast’s growth, no prefix needed. However, in some cases, prefixes are added to enable specific third-party tools or to meet requirements from agencies or sponsors who track performance using external platforms.
At RSS.com, we understand the value that third-party prefixes offer to podcasters. Whether you're using services like Podtrac for audience measurement, OP3 for public podcast analytics, or Magellan AI for ad intelligence, these tools can offer additional insights into your show’s performance and reach.
However, we’ve also seen firsthand how incorrect setup of these prefixes can cause serious issues, such as duplicate downloads, broken playback, and even failures to distribute episodes correctly to platforms like Spotify or Apple Podcasts. These issues are especially common when multiple prefixes are chained together or if they’re not formatted properly.
Because of this, we don’t allow prefixes to be added manually from the Dashboard. Instead, if you’d like to add one (or more), simply go to your dashboard's Settings page, go to Prefixes section and from there, contact our Customer Support team via the in-app widget to our help center.
Make sure to include the name of the prefix provider and the exact URL they’ve given you. Also let us know if you’re using multiple prefixes, we’ll make sure they are chained correctly. We’ll make sure your desired prefix is implemented correctly and safely.
