Archiving is how you take a show off Apple Podcasts. It hides the listing from listeners and stops Apple checking the feed for new episodes.
- Open Apple Podcasts Connect and click your show.
- Scroll to the bottom of the Show Information page.
- Select Archive Show.
What archiving does and does not do
It removes the show from Apple Podcasts only. Your podcast on RSS.com, your RSS feed, your episodes and every other directory carry on exactly as before. If you want the show gone everywhere, you have to handle each directory separately.
The most common reason to archive is a duplicate listing, where a show was submitted to Apple by hand and then again automatically, so it appears twice. Keep whichever listing has more followers and archive the other one.
